Hello World!

Here's a little about me:

I am a 26 year old female who just moved to Orange County from the Midwest. I have tried online dating in the past but have always de-activated my profile because I have been dismayed at the things people say. Recently, I have realized that they are kind of ridiculous and hilarious and perhaps other could enjoy them. Hence, this.

Why online dating?

I ask myself that very same question on a somewhat regular basis. Here's the thing, if you and I were talking on the street, it is not something I would admit. Let's say I met a really great guy and we were all hanging out and you asked "how did you two meet?". I would hesitate and awkwardly bumble for a way that was not a lie but also did not reveal my secret.

I have historically questionable taste in men. My type seems to be the artistic Gemini who is not emotionally available and not ready for a relationship (3-4 of the guys I have dated or been in relationships with fit this). I don't drink, smoke, party, or go to bars. I work in counseling. My options of meeting people are limited. Especially in this new setting. So I thought "what have I got to lose". My pride, dignity, and faith in humanity. But aren't those small prices to pay for a shot at love?!??!? (That's a joke).
